If Music be the Food of Love.....

Tim;

What are you people playing at? "Silence is Golden" is a much, much better song than "Thank You for the Music". Surely you would like to hear it, wouldn't you?...

So vote for "Thank You for the Music" so that you can hear "Silence is Golden"

Confused?.... You Won't be...

Kleenex at the ready 'cos here are the lyrics to "Silence is Golden"

Oh, don't it hurt deep inside
To see someone do something to her
Oh, don't it pain to see someone cry
Oh, especially when someone is her

Silence is golden, but my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see

Talking is cheap, people follow like sheep
Even though there is nowhere to go
How could she tell, he deceived her so well
Pity, she'll be the last one to know

Silence is golden, but my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see

How many times will she fall for his line
Should I tell her or should I keep cool?
And if I tried, I know she'd say I lied
Mind your business, don't hurt her, you fool

Silence is golden, but my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see

(I've also learnt the chords - should anybody be interested)

One of my all time favourites. A courting song from 1967! I think the others were, 'Take Me In Your Arms and Love Me' by Gladys Knight and The Pips, and 'Don't Sleep in The Subway, Darling' by Petula Clark.

I'm too thick to know how to get sound on my (newish) PC but I can live without it.
